Insurance during the time of your lease

Custom Rental Management - Friday, September 12, 2025

The owner of a rental property provides property insurance to protect the structure.  However, the owner does NOT provide insurance to you as a Tenant to protect your personal property during the time of your lease.  You should  contact an insurance provider (such as whatever company provides your auto insurance) and ask about personal property insurance to cover things like a big screen T.V., electronic devices, clothing, jewelry, etc.  Personal property insurance coverage is typically not an expensive item but provides a lot of protection to you as a Tenant.  Protect yourself as a Tenant.
